Doctor's Review - Final One

We had our appointment today with my Paediatrician for another review. This time, my weight has increased again. It is now 12.4 kg. So for the past 3 weeks, I managed to gain 600 grams!

The doctor took a look at me and she said that I am now cleared. My wheezing is much better now. I still need to take the inhaler, but only one type, and only 2 times a day for the next 2 weeks, followed by once a day for the following 2 weeks.

She told Mom that there are a few things that Mom could do to improve my condition. Mom has to keep minimal dusts in my room. The air-con can be turned on but not too cold, or better still, no air-con at all. My bed covers, sheets and blankets have to be washed with hot water once a week to kill the dustmites. It is also better to put on air purifier or humidifier in my room. But no swimming for me though, at least for the next 1 month or so.

Mom asked the doctor about my current weight. To her surprise, apparently my weight is actually OK for my age. It is close to 75th percentile. The doctor did say that once my cough is cleared, my appetite should go back to normal. Apparently poor eating can be associated with lung problems too. Hmm....
