5 Weeks Old

I turned 5 weeks old yesterday. I can now coo a little bit and smile occasionally when people talk to me. Today I also went for my 1-month check up. I am now 4.53 kg and 56.5 cm. My doctor said that the recommended weight gain for 1 month old is between 800 grams - 1.5 kg. My weight has increased by 1.54 kg, and my length by 7 cm from birth! My head circumference now is 38 cm.
Once in a while, Mom would put me on my stomach so I can exercise my neck muscle. I actually don't really enjoy it, coz it makes me tired. So I can only do this for no more than 5 minutes. But hey, it is progressing well and see how I can now slowly lift up my head :-)

Christmas Caroling

Today Mom and Dad brought me to Orchard to see the Christmas Caroling. Orchard Road was so crowded with people and beautified with lots of Christmas ornaments. We watched the caroling from the center fountain of Ngee Ann City. The Christmas carols were so grand. I really enjoyed them!

New Hair-Do

Blessed One Month

Today I am officially 1 month old. We didn't have big celebration, but we marked this day with a special rite: Hair shaving! Dad took this picture of me, still having my hair, in the morning after I had my morning bath.
So while Mom carried and feed me via bottle, Dad used a shaver to shave my hair. They had to wet my hair first with soap water to make it easier to shave. They also had to immerse the shaver in hot boiled water to sterilize it. Dad was pretty skillful in doing this shaving business he he he :-D

Aunt Cindy took all the pictures during the shaving process. Po Po was also there to help Dad shave me and clean my head.

I was pretty calm during the whole process, and quite sleepy too :-D. And it was taking quite long too...coz I had lots and lots of hair. After shaving, I was cleaned, dried and Po Po helped me to put on a new clean romper. Everyone was just sooo amused with my new look :-) Mom said that she will keep my shaved hair as a memoir.

So now, I am bald but I am sure that my new hair will grow pretty soon. Don't I look just gorgeous in this new look? :-)

4 Weeks Old

Grandparents

My grandparents have been coming and visiting me all the way from Jakarta. They have also been very helpful to my Dad & Mom. They help taking care of me while Mom is recovering during her confinement period. Thank you Grandpa's and Grandma's! :-)

Back to Total Breastfeeding!

Today Mom and Popo (Grandma from Mom's side) brought me to see the Paediatrician again to check my bilirubin level. My jaundice level is now 10.2 and Mom has been given a green light to start total breastfeeding me again. Yippee!
Oh, my weight is now 3.61kg and length remains at 53cm. This means that in 3 days, I gained 200 grams. Isn't that impressive? :-)
