63 Weeks Old

Hello, it's me again, and I am 63 weeks old today. Some updates on me:

- Still not eating breakfast. Only milk. But eating 2 hearty meals for lunch and dinner. Also eating fruit and snacks in between.

- Drinks 200-220 ml of milk 3 times a day, and sometimes it is mixed with fresh cow milk.

- Suddenly dislikes mash potato!

- Still having 8 teeth. No sign of emerging gums yet.

Saturday Outing At Botanical Garden

Every Saturday, Mom and Dad would make it a point to spend time as a family. It does not have to be fancy, as long as the three of us get together in a relaxed and enjoyable mode and share the precious moments. Both Mom and Dad are very busy during weekdays, so it's not easy to find a time where the three of us can play together.
This weekend, we went to Jacob Ballas. We took the train to Orchard, then took a bus from there which goes straight to the place. We noticed that next time, we could took the same bus from Newton MRT Station so the trip is much shorter.
We reached there quite late actually, around 4.30 PM, but the weather is still pretty hot. So, we went around the garden first, then headed to the water play. There were quite a number of people bringing their kids to play, but the crowd is still managable. Afterwards, we went to the Tanglin Gate and catch a bus from there to go to the city.
What a day!

Swimming With Buddies

Today, I went swimming again with some of my buddies at Ardmore Park. It's been a while since my last time swimming, and I really enjoyed this session a lot! This time Mom joined in swimming as well, so she could swim with me in the bigger pool.

62 Weeks Old

I am 62 weeks old today. Mom says that I am one curious little boy. I love exploring new things. Mom lets me as long as it is not of a danger to me.

I also started to understand simple instructions and actually follow them. Like when Mom asks me to clap my hands, wave bye bye, or calling someone's name (Aunt Cindy would know what this means he he).

I like to walk alot now, and once I am on my feet, I refuse to be sat down on my stroller. I only sit on it nicely when I am about to leave the house or when I am sleepy/tired.

I also like to talk a-l-o-t to myself, making different kind of noise. I also like to talk to Mom or Dad. My sentences do sound like they are accentuated, as if I am really trying to make sense of them. But to Mom and Dad, the words still sound gibberish, thus they do not really understand me. However they still try to communicate to me.

We were supposed to go for swimming together, but the weather was not good.

14 Months Old

I am 14 months old today. For some reason, my nap time is getting shorter now. I now nap for at most 2 hours during the day. But usually, by 9 PM or so, I will not be able to open my eyes anymore, and I would take a short nap of 30 mins-1 hour. I can now sleep longer during the night, for 10-11 hours straight.

Mom says that I eat a lot, but it took her on average 1 hour to feed me. It's because I need to be distracted alot during mealtime as I get bored easily. However, I am able to sit on my booster chair through the whole mealtime.

I eat mostly soft rice with meat and vegetables. Occasionally, Mom would cook me pasta with cheese or pestos or homemade tomato sauce. I wish she would do this more often, cause I luurrvvv pasta alot! She added a small amount of low sodium salt or soy sauce into my food. I also love fruit a lot, any kinds of fruit, and I can eat quite a large portion of it.

And, officially today, I am completely off breastfeeding *hooray!*

eXplorerkid at Downtown East

Noah's Mama invited me and Mom to eXplorerkid to play in their indoor playground. It's my first time and I am soooo excited!

We met at Pasir Ris Interchange and then took a bus to Downtown East. Once we arrived, we went straight to the playground. We had to take off our shoes and wear socks to get in. I tried all the 'equipments' there, the ball pool, the mini stairs, and the most exciting part, the Maze!

To get in the maze, I must be accompanied by Mom because it is actually meant for kids who are 3 years and older. Well, the climbing parts are quite challenging. But I really enjoyed it. I really got to practise my motoric skills alot there ;-)

I think my most favorite part in the maze, is the Slide. It took some time for me and Mom to get to the top of the slide, but it felt soooo good when we slided down :-D

60 Weeks Old

Hi, I am 60 weeks old today. Mom says I now eat quite a lot. I can eat double than what I used to eat a couple of months ago. She is very happy, eventhough now she needs to cook more often as the food easily runs out :)

I also sleep quite well now in my own bedroom. At night, I usually sleep for 8-10 hours. But after my morning milk, I can continue sleeping for another 2 hours. I take 1 nap per day, and each nap can last 2-4 hours. So in total, I can sleep 14-16 hours in a day!

As I eat more, I drink lesser milk now. But Mom is not worried about it, as long as I get my nutrition requirements from the food.

Hmm after coming back from the Jakarta trip recently, I have become...more strong-willed. If I want something and I don't get it, I will cry and start throwing tantrum. Dad says it is because in Jakarta, everyone dotes on me and will give me whatever things that I want. Hopefully in Singapore, this can be more controlled.

My walking is getting better and better each day. I now only raise one hand while walking. Sometimes, when I fall down, I will not continue walking but crawl instead he he he.

I have been also quite clingy to Mom especially when we are alone at home. I don't want Mom to do other housework and let me play on my own. But when we are outside with other people, I am usually OK to play alone. Hmm this is probably my gradual steps in becoming independent.

Back to Singapore

We are going back to Singapore today. It is one day earlier than planned coz Dad could not book a ticket to go back on the 4th. But it's OK, we are so glad that we are going and we already miss our home :-)
