15 Weeks Old

Everyone, I am 15 weeks old now. Well, you can also say that I am 3 and a half month old :-)
Hmm let me see, what new happenings I can share with you besides my growing & thickening hair....*thinking*
I know! I can now giggle! One day Mom played with me and she tried to tickle my neck, and I started giggling! :-P
I also love it when Mom sings to me. She usually does that before I go to bed. Sometimes, I do sing along too :-) Well, not exactly in tune yet, but I'll definitely try children choir when I grow up :-D

Yay! I can now swat the toys hanging on my baby gym. I can also occasionally pull them. I used to just stare at and do nothing with them.

It might look simple to you, but to my Mom & Dad it is a significant achievement :-)

14 Weeks Old

Well, I am 14 weeks old today. Some says that my hair has grown much more and is getting darker in colour. Mom has been using Zwitsal hair lotion (formulated with Aloe Vera, Candle Nuts, and Celery) that she bought in Jakarta a few weeks ago on my hair each time after my bath, and the product really does deliver its promise :-) *he he he promotion mode*
I have not been napping much these few days. Usually I'd nap for 2-3 hours each time. But recently, I only nap for less than 1 hour and spend most of the time awake. So, as you'd have guessed, I'd be very very sleepy at around 8PM or so. Occasionally I'd still wake up in the middle of the night for a quick night feeding. But on average, I sleep for 6-8 hours stretch at night.

3 Months Old

On this exact Valentine's day, I turn 3 months old. Yesterday I also turned 13 weeks. Mom said I am such a big boy now, and soon am no longer called a newborn *yippee!*
Oma said time will fly very very quickly, and once you know it, I am already 3 years old! Ha..ha.., not so fast, Oma ;-)
I now like to sleep sideways, even during my nap time. I don't sleep on my tummy as often these days. I still haven't managed to roll over by myself (from back to tummy position). But looking on how I like to turn sideways, Mom thinks that I will be able to roll over pretty soon. Therefore, everyone is now more cautious when putting me on the sofa or a bigger bed. They would put lots of barriers so that I don't fall over in case I manage to roll by myself.

Oh, nowadays, I don't like to be carried in lying position whenever I am wide awake. I like to be carried up facing front or back (over the shoulder), so that I can see more things.

Mom Goes Back to Work

Finally, after 3 months of maternity leave, Mom goes back to work today. It's an entirely new routine for me and Mom. Usually, I'd wake up at about 6-7 AM for my morning feeding and then sleep again (with Mom beside her bed) until 8-9AM. But now, Mom has to wake up early, prepare my bottles for my subsequent feedings when she is not around (putting thawed expressed breast milk into bottles) for Oma's easier preparation later on. After Mom dresses up and is ready for work, she would move me from her bedroom to the nursery.
Mom was very very sad to leave me at home on the first day since she is so used to be with me all day. But on the other hand she is very happy that at least she can leave me in good hands (in Oma's care, of course).
Mom said she always think of me at work and look at my picture on her mobile phone. She'd also express milk at the office's nursery to bring home and store, so that her supply will not be diminished.
Mom usually is back at home at around 7:30PM. I sure miss her alot too. I always give her a big smile, followed by moving both of my hands up asking to be carried, when she sees me once she is back home :-)

Back in Singapore

Hey, I am back in Singapore. We reached home pretty late last night because our flight arrived in Singapore at about 10:30PM. It was a pretty smooth journey for me too. I didn't sleep much on the plane. It's a good thing that the journey was only 1 hour.

I slept for the whole 8.5 hrs last night. I seldom did this while I was in Jakarta. Mom said maybe because I was not used to the new environment (new room, new bed, etc).

12 Weeks Old

I am 12 weeks old now. This photo is taken at Gong Gong and Po Po's house. I slept over there for 1-2 nights with Mom and Dad.

Mom said I am very talkative now, especially during my time in Jakarta. Maybe because there are more people talking to me here than in Singapore :-) I will respond when people talk to me with long vocals like 'aaaaeeeeeee.....'
I also gurgle a bit sometimes. I can now put two of my hands together, and make a 'gong xi gong xi' type of move!
Well, I have to start practicing now since Chinese New Year is coming soon :-P

Air Travel and Jakarta Flood

Phew! Finally we arrived in Jakarta yesterday night. At the airport before we boarded the flight, Mom & I went to the family's room in Terminal 2 for my feeding. There, I also saw lots of aeroplanes. Dad carried me up so I could see them better. I was quite amazed of the size and shape of the aeroplanes. Well, of course, it is my first time seeing them so closely :-)

When we boarded the plane, the air stewardesses were so attracted to me :-P They asked Mom how old I am, and they were very surprised when Mom told them my age. They said that I am sooo young and I already do air travel. Before take off, Mom breastfed me so that my ear drums won't hurt due to the change in the air pressure. Upon landing, Mom gave me my pacifier for the same reason.

I was quite OK throughout the journey and didn't really cry at all. I slept most of the time.

Opa, Oma, Aunt Sisi, Aunt Riri and Uncle Leo went to fetch us at the airport. Jakarta was flooded quite heavily that time until Opa's car aircon broke down. Thank God we could arrive at home safely.

My First Trip

Yippee, today I'm going on a trip with my Mom & Dad to Jakarta! This is going to be my 1st time traveling overseas on the aeroplane :-D
I am sooo excited coz I am going to meet lots of family members whom I never meet before. I will be there for a week.
